Updating the DNS 2 firmware

How to update your CEDAR DNS 2's firmware

The current release firmware for the DNS2 is v1.4. If your DNS 2 hosts a version below this, please download the latest version and update your unit. Doing so is straightforward:

• If you have not already done so, download the zip file and extract (or copy) the firmware ".bin" file onto your desktop.
• Connect the CEDAR DNS 2 to a Mac or PC via its USB port using a mini-USB cable.
• Once connected, the DNS 2 should show up as a removable drive.
• Access the unit and copy the firmware file onto the DNS 2. The firmware must be located in the top-level directory, not within a folder on the removable drive.
• Power cycle the DNS 2.
